ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Rachel Sharpe. I am a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Plus with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering, an emphasis in Entrepreneurship, and a minor in Engineering Management. The projects featured on this site showcase work from my undergraduate years, where I explored hands-on design, prototyping, and innovation through courses in community-based engineering, invention and entrepreneurship, and mechanical component design.

Today, I serve as a Senior Engineering Project Consultant in CU Boulder’s Integrated Teaching and Learning Program while pursuing a PhD in Engineering Education and a Master’s in Data Science. In my current role, I collaborate with faculty across the College of Engineering and Applied Science to design and embed hands-on learning experiences into required coursework. My research and professional work focus on strengthening engineering identity, adaptive expertise, and workforce readiness by integrating authentic, industry-informed practice into the undergraduate curriculum.

I am passionate about bridging engineering, entrepreneurship, and education to create learning environments where students feel capable, connected, and prepared to contribute as engineers.
